Visiting the Hacienda: The Hotel, the Farm, and the Restaurant
As I said in my previous blog post, the city of Salamanca is usually a small, but nevertheless tourist-hotspot-cramped city. The locals in this article also travel mostly on foot as well, and once we had our excursion around the city of Salamanca, we toured on foot–a jogging tour!

With that said, the walking tour didn’t take very long. The tourist destinations we attended were mostly next to each other, and the walking visit was over right before lunchtime.

We went to Hacienda Zorita (hotel info), a farm, to tour around just before lunch.

The Hacienda is a well-known farm inside Salamanca, and, like most in the city, Hacienda Zorita is like a farm back from the earlier. The farm makes organic goods, including vegetables, fruits, coconut oil, bread, and balsamic white wine vinegar. Products from their animals are also organic, as their Iberico hams and charcuterie, and their well known, high-quality, raw milk ewe’s cheese.

The farm had been over 300 hectares vast, and has the goal of defending local species of plants and animals. With this goal, i was told that most in the animals are not bound or kept in households. They were, rather, liberal to wonder around. In the end walked, we saw some sort of flock of lambs, which was the source in the farm’s self-produced ewe cheese.

Local residents have been also free to wonder around and come to your farm at their will. When I heard of which, I started to love the location more and more! Salamanca City really gave me the feeling connected with travelling back in time, exactly where life is at the most basic.
We walked additionally into the farm past the 85-year-old Olive trees, and noticed the Hacienda’s Cheese Processing Building. The parmesan cheese plant looked like the accommodation (Hacienda Zorita) in many ways.

We were told by the excursion guide?of the village that they produce practically 18 000 kilo of cheese yearly, and that in 2012, Hacienda Zorita (publication now) was awarded for having the Best Mozerella in the World in Greater london.

After our little vacation to the farm, we all headed back to Hacienda Zorita Resort. We were showed the wine cellar before we finally headed for the restaurant for lunch.

The hotel’s in-house diner, Zoritas Kitchen, is located next to a creek, giving off a very relaxing and relaxing feeling, like the rest of Salamanca. The inside is also very inviting, inspired by Dominican rebublic refectories.

We were told that this restaurant gets it’s ingredients only from other farm Hacienda Zorita, which is relatively relieving and pleasant.
Parrillada de Verduras con Mojo Iberico
For lunch time, we were served Parrillada environnant les Verduras con Mojo Iberico, grilled fruit and vegetables with olive oil. Additionally we had Merluza con Cebolla Confitada ful Sofrito de Ajo, a bowl with fish, caramelized let’s eat some onions, garlic, and some seasoning. The main dishes were very flavorful, needless to say from a city consequently rich in culture in addition to tradition.

To dampen straight down all the spice of the main dishes, we had Sopa de Frutos Rojos con Helado environnant les Queso for dessert, which literally translates to “Cream Cheese-flavored Ice Cream with Red Fruit Sauce”. It needs to be the source of the substances (the Hacienda Zorita farm) that is certainly making the Kitchen’s food so delicious, I supposed.

I were built with a lunch like no other.
Visiting the actual Hacienda Zorita’s farm, and its Kitchen, was perhaps on the list of highlights of my holiday to Salamanca. The environment, the exterior along with interior of the buildings, the food, and the hotel of the locals made me think of it that way.
